Taffy

So...I decided it would be fun to have Sharon, Reagan, and all the kids come over and attempt (yes attempt) to make salt water taffy.  Sharon was suppose to be our expert since she did this growing up but come to find out she was like 6! Ha!  Anway, there was a 4, 3, 2, 1, and 8 month old helping us!  Wow, you want to talk about WILD, all the kids did really good but they were inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs faster than we could keep up.  Plus, having to watch taffy! 

So, here is Round 1...Sharon is trying to cool it off here so we can start pulling

Reagan is trying to pull....think we cooked it too long it is super hard and turning to a rock!

So...here is what round 1 produces....hard sucker sticks!

So, it was early so we decided to try it again.  Round 2 didn't turn out either...we didn't cook this one long enough and it never set up.  However we now think we could try it one more time and would be able to get it right!

The big success of the evening...the kids had a blast and were exhausted from playing so hard!  Here is everyone enjoying some pizza.
