Mallo Camp

Before I get to Mallo pictures, I wanted to share this cute picture of Carson playing with Josh's buzz lightyear sprinkler!  He loved it!

Now on to Mallo Camp! What a great time, we all had a blast and I think Carson could have slept for a week after getting back.  He played so hard with all his cousins and loved every minute.  In the morning he was up for about 30 seconds before asking if he could go play with Reece and Jess.

I can remember when we first started going to Mallo camp all these kids (teens) were so little and running around everywhere.

Carson decorating his duck for the duck race.  Also sporting his new spiderman sunglasses and fishing tackle box he won in the fishing derby. 

They cut down the big tree in front of lodge that we use to sit under for shade...so this was the new gathering spot to watch the dingleball tournament.

Marsha had this great game where the kids tossed water across the little creek and tried to fill each others buckets.  I got a few actions shots of Josie getting soaked! Ha!  They had a great time!

Whitney 8 months

Taffy

So...I decided it would be fun to have Sharon, Reagan, and all the kids come over and attempt (yes attempt) to make salt water taffy.  Sharon was suppose to be our expert since she did this growing up but come to find out she was like 6! Ha!  Anway, there was a 4, 3, 2, 1, and 8 month old helping us!  Wow, you want to talk about WILD, all the kids did really good but they were inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs faster than we could keep up.  Plus, having to watch taffy! 

So, here is Round 1...Sharon is trying to cool it off here so we can start pulling

Reagan is trying to pull....think we cooked it too long it is super hard and turning to a rock!

So...here is what round 1 produces....hard sucker sticks!

So, it was early so we decided to try it again.  Round 2 didn't turn out either...we didn't cook this one long enough and it never set up.  However we now think we could try it one more time and would be able to get it right!

The big success of the evening...the kids had a blast and were exhausted from playing so hard!  Here is everyone enjoying some pizza.

Busy in August

August has already been eventful at the Barritt household!  Here are a few pictures to get you caught back up.

Here is Carson and Whitney dressed up ready to attend Tyler and Brittani's wedding.

It took me all night but Carson finally danced with me.

Tom and Liz came up one Sunday and we went and ate lunch at the Sheridan Inn

Carson Whitney and I went and spent the night at Uncle Ron and Aunt Pennys.  Carson had a BLAST racing cars and playing outside.  You can see that Whitney wanted to join that action as well.

Last weekend we went camping and it was full of all kinds of critters!  First Carson found this turtle so we took it back down to the water and let it go.

JD, Michelle, Carter and Blake came on Saturday and the boys had a blast.  Here I was trying to get a good picture of the boys but had to settle for this. Aren't they cute!

Next critter....Toads this is just a small sample of all the toads the boys caught.  At one point there was probably about 30 in the box.  They kept catching them and then let them go right by the camper, they were jumping all over the place.

Success...JD finally got Whitney to sleep :)
